What it is
Virtual servers, managed databases and object storage, metered by the hour and settled afterwards. Nothing is paid in advance: your card is charged on the first of the month for the month that has just passed, or part-way through if your balance crosses the auto-charge threshold for your account tier.

Our observations
- You owe nothing until the work is done: the invoice arrives on the first of the month for the month that has gone.
- A payment method has to be on file before you start, even though nothing is taken from it up front.
- Serverless Inference is the exception in their own catalogue: that one now needs a positive prepaid balance before it will answer a request.
