Claude models over an API, bought as prepaid credit and drawn down per token. Three current models at three prices, so the cheap one can do the boring half of the work: Haiku 4.5 at $1 per million input tokens, Sonnet 5 at $2, Opus 5 at $5. Prompt caching and batching bring the per-token price down further.

Our observations
- You buy credit in the console before calling the API; $5 is the smallest purchase.
- No published expiry on bought credit, unlike the two other prepaid LLM listings here.
- Prompt caching and the batch endpoint cut the per-token price for work that repeats or is not urgent — the cheapest way to use it is not the default way.
